Does the guy from Ting Tings have eyes?

Is it just me, or does the berk who plays drums for over-rated pop group The Ting Tings never take his sunglasses off?

Maybe it's because if he reveals his true identity, people will abuse him in the street for a) creating bland music and b) pretending to be young.

Maybe it's because if he reveals his true identity, he will be bothered whilst doing his day-job as manager in The Slug and Lettuce, Clapham.

Maybe he has a Bono complex.

Maybe he's blind.

Maybe he's a dick.

Skateboard P > Seinfeld

I'm also late posting about Microsoft (God they're so viral!) and their new ad (God it's so viral!) hot on the heels of that Seinfeld ad (God it was so viral!).

Supposedly Jerry isn't funny any more so they pulled the ad. Dunno about that; they would have had to have shot the new ad very quickly if they hadn't planned to air it when they did.

The new one's not better, but it does have Pharrel in it.

I'm off to go trash my Mac again.

Barak Obama has a Soundtrack

So I read in the Guardian today that Barak Obama is putting out a soundtrack. Not only is this in itself kind of lame, what makes it worse is that it contains such audio excrement as John Mayer, Sheryl Crow and John Legend.

Where's the fucking bangers?

Couple of Jams

I'm late posting about Lykke Li, but this is only my sixth post or something... I'm allowed to be sleeping.

Anyway, she's Swedish, hot and makes some fine pop music. Not much of a change there then...

I also heard this David Byrne and Brian Eno track off their album Everything That Happens Happens Today called Strange Overtones. The groove is serious.

Adults on Push Scooters

On my way to the supermarket today, I happened upon a young-ish couple riding push scooters. This is a pretty worrying phenomenon and something I've noticed more and more often.

It has to stop!

Check out this picture of a smug woman on her way to work. Do you think the people at the bus stop think she's an arsehole aswell?

On Rainbows

I don't know if it was the Sony ad that put the concept of spectrums of colour back to the forefront of design or not, but either way since I seem to see them everywhere.

The Foreigners

I like No Age. I like skateboarding. So when I heard that Randy from No Age had filmed and directed the new Altamont video; The Foreigners, I was happy.

Here's the trailer:

Destroy your Mac

Microsoft has had enough of people thinking that Apple is cuddly and nice and the choice for really, really creative people, so they've paid Jerry Seinfeld $10m to tell people that Microsoft is cuddly and nice and and the choice for really, really creative people too.

I think they should cast Michael Richards in the follow up.

Coming Out on a Rainy Day

Inventing stuff is great isn't it? You have an idea, you make your thing, then you sell it.

Part of my job in writing this blog, is to open your eyes to the multitude of ways you can express yourself by buying things. Things like Rain Legs.

It's a common problem of the cyclist (particularly in rainy old London) to get wet legs in the rain. Well not any more! Rain legs have been tried and tested by "bike couriers AND independent organisations". Not only do they keep your thighs dry - they look super awesome too.

Props to Brando for the link

Self Actualisation

There is a logical place to start when writing one's first blog post; a mine of bullet proof information, tried and tested for years by the Interweb's literary elite. Its name is Wikipedia.

This is where our journey begins blog friends; with the subject of self actualisation.

Wikipedia / Maslow describe self actualisation as

"the desire for self-fulfillment, namely the tendency for him [the individual] to become actualized in what he is potentially. This tendency might be phrased as the desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming."

Some people get an education, others undertake charity work. My path is sharing videos of dogs trying to have sex with children on the internet.
